Adam's Camp Enrolling Now!

The Classic Camp Experience Tailored to Those with Special Needs

Adam’s Camp provides fun therapy experience for campers of all ages

Located in Granby, Colorado and the Denver-metro area, Adam’s Camp provides families with children with special needs 5 consecutive days of camp with a little something fun for the whole family.

For the children with special needs:

Adam’s Camp offers 5 different camp options to accommodate children ages one year and older—Early Start Therapy (ages 1-4), Pathfinder Therapy (ages 5+), Pathblazer Therapy (ages 6+), Trailblazer Therapy (ages 8+), and Pioneer Therapy (ages 9+). While at camp, children will receive individualized therapy while participating in age-appropriate camp activities such as playing games, swimming, horseback riding, hiking, obstacle courses, and even an overnight stay for older campers. Some of these camp activities are structured to be individual work while others offer the opportunity for the children to learn to work cooperatively in pairs, trios, or even as a larger group. While participating in these activities, a team of pediatric therapists including speech, physical, occupational, and music will implement a therapy plan determined by the specific needs of the children.

For the siblings of children with special needs:

In addition, siblings of Therapy Program campers ages one year and older are eligible to register and participate in Sibling Camp for an additional fee. While at camp, siblings will participate in age-appropriate camp activities as well as experience a sense of belonging and participate in facilitated discussions. Sibling Camp activities correspond with Therapy Program activities so that parents have the ability to participate in their own camp activities.

For the parents of children with special needs:

While their children are participating in their camp activities, parents have the opportunity to enjoy some recreation and respite as well as connect and network with other parents. They also have the option to attend educational presentations and activities. At the end of camp, parents will participate in an individualized conference with the therapy team to discuss how camp went.
