LAUREN KNAUPE

Clinical Director, OTD, OTR/L

Lauren Knaupe is the Clinical Director at Children’s Therapy Services of Colorado where she oversees all three therapy disciplines and the providers on those teams. Lauren also works as a pediatric occupational therapist, a career she began in 2011. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Purdue University in 2006, her Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy from Rush University in 2011 and her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from the University of Kansas in 2018. 

 Lauren began her career in pediatric occupational therapy in Chicago at North Shore Pediatric Therapy, where she held many positions including fieldwork student, full time therapist and clinic director. During this time she worked with kids of all ages and diagnoses including autism, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, developmental delay, sensory processing challenges, and feeding difficulties.

As Clinical Director, Lauren focuses primarily on the management and mentorship of clinical staff and ensuring positive therapeutic outcomes for patients. In addition to her executive responsibilities, Lauren continues to work as a occupational therapist with a small caseload of children often with more complex conditions. She utilizes a holistic approach when working with the child and family, pulling from her diverse background to implement individual and client centered therapy.
