Tyler received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Studies and Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Stockton University in Galloway, New Jersey. Tyler decided to pursue a career in the field of occupational therapy due to its holistic, distinctive approach to individuals in a modern medicine system which seems to forget the uniqueness and individuality of each person. Tyler knew he wanted to work with the pediatric population immediately upon finishing graduate school and appreciates every day he is able to go to work and interact with children who look at the world with such magic and innocence. He strongly believes that there is not one specific way to go about deciphering and resolving difficulties one may present with, and he uses that style when providing intervention to the pediatric population in the clinical setting. He focuses on harnessing a child’s innate drive to play as a therapeutic tool, while utilizing humor and encouragement to promote a child’s successful development. Tyler feels interacting with and including families in the therapy process is just as important as working with the child and does his best to be sure parents leave each session with no questions unanswered. In his free time, Tyler loves to hike, snowboard, do yoga, play hockey, golf, and guitar, and spend time in nature as much as possible!
